As soon as we arrived in the Athens airport, we picked up our rental car and headed out to Delphi with the idea of spending the night and getting a jump start on the morning tour buses. Ha! Our hotel had 6 buses parked outside overnight. The museum handled the crowds well and the archeological site is so vast nothing is blocked for very long. The museum treasures from 8th century BC onward were well displayed and I spent most of my time in there.

On the drive, we passed many roadside memorials to accident victims. The memorials were often church shaped, with the "big brother" nearby. Some were just simple boxes with memory items and candles inside.
