Santa Fe

     A very generous friend lent me the use of her condo in Santa Fe and I took my best friend down for a week in June. The condo was lovely and we had a great time exploring this city of art. 250 art galleries call Santa Fe home and examples are everywhere. Even the capitol building is an art gallery. Besides the Native American themes, we found lots of animal art and some whirlygigs that may make it to my house.

   One afternoon was spent at the Audubon Nature Preserve. We didn't see any birds but there was one lonely lizard and the end of season cactus blooms. The Saturday Farmer's market was an attraction where we got picnic supplies for our trip to Ghost Ranch. We even managed to be in time for the yearly Greek festival, a welcome change from (New) Mexican food. We had a relaxing time at the 10,000 Waves Spa in the hills with a private hot bath soak followed by a facial and massage.
